Just saw the show Pet Finger and am curious about the dog "Sheldon" that was portrayed as a "shetland sheepdog sheltie" cross?? What exactly is that kind of dog, and how that determined? Being an obedience trainer and owner of 2 Sheltland Sheepdogs (also commonly known as a sheltie) I am wondering what is up. As you may be aware that a Shetland Sheepdog (sheltie for short) does not look anything like Sheldon, although he is lovely. I would just like to clear up any misconception as he certainly is not a Shetland Sheep nor Sheltie mix as verbally described during this television show as that is one in the same dog, very miss leading to the general public. I spend alot of my time trying to clear up the general misconception that people who do not know the differrence that a sheltie is not a mininature collie. I just found Sheldon's breed a misrepresentation and not very educational for the general public.
